Now, pitch is directly related to frequency; increasing as frequency increases. To reiterrate, air pressure, muscle tension, and cord size are the characteristics responsible for sound and variation in our voices. Lets look at how each affect frequency and pitch individually.
1) Air pressure
-More Pressure= More vibrations per second and high pitch
-Less Pressure= Less vibrations per second and low pitch
2) Muscle tension
-Tight Cords= More vibrations per second and high pitch
-Loose Cords= Less vibrations per second and low pitch
3) Cord size
-Small Cords= More vibrations per second and high Pitch
-Large Cords= Less vibrations per second and low pitch
