Visualizing Energies

One can assume that if the vocal folds are vibrating during the process of sound production, that some kind of energy must be given to the folds. Most of this energy is kinetic energy provided by the air sent up past the vocal folds by the lungs. Eventually, the kinetic energy that causes vibrations in the vocal folds with turn to heat which is how we account for the law of conservation of energy.
